Climate Risk & Resilience Studies
Climate risk assessments across multiple time horizons with adaptation strategies for built assets.
Climate Risk & Resilience Assessment
Physical hazard exposure mapping β likelihood Γ impact matrix under RCP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios to 2050.
Overview
We conduct climate risk assessments for buildings, masterplan developments, infrastructure, and urban districts β evaluating exposure to physical climate hazards and identifying adaptation strategies that protect assets, occupants, communities, and long-term investment value.
Why It Matters
Climate change is no longer a future risk β it is a present reality that is already affecting building performance, insurance costs, and asset valuations across the GCC and globally. Extreme heat, sea level rise, increased humidity, and more frequent extreme weather events are material risks that investors and regulators increasingly expect to see quantified and mitigated. TCFD-aligned disclosure is becoming mandatory in major markets, and climate resilience is a growing requirement in green building certification.
Our Approach
We assess climate risk across multiple time horizons (2030, 2050, 2080+) using downscaled climate projections and recognised methodologies. We evaluate both acute risks (extreme heat events, flooding, storms) and chronic risks (rising temperatures, sea level rise, humidity shifts) against building design parameters, occupancy patterns, and operational assumptions. We then develop adaptation strategies β ranging from passive design measures to infrastructure-level interventions β and integrate these into the projectβs sustainability framework and ESG reporting.
